From time to time, mostly around a holiday, Paradise Freebies Network will sponsor a COMPLETELY FREE community event that we call “hunts”. This has been a tradition for out network since October 2009, when we did our very first Halloween Hunt!  Since that time, we have done the “Thanksgiving Turkey Hunt”, “Christmas Crusades”, “Easter Egg Hunt”, “Valentine’s Hunt”, and of course, the Independence day “Flag Hunt”

How this works is that we hide 30 items on all of the 14 Paradise Freebies sites, and let you find them! Each find is worth a prize, which will always be described in the promotion of the hunt event on the forums.  Each of the hunts has its own site where you report your finds.  The site URL (link) for each of the hunts will also be posted with the promotion on the forums.  So… it’s a little bit of a relay race…  You run around from site to site on the Paradise Freebies network, and when you find one of the items you are looking for, you run back to the reporting site, enter your find, then go back and search for more!  It’s GREAT fun, and happens FAST! But best of all, it’s FREE and completely open to the entire Freebie Community!

Here are some tips and tricks:

First, you have to know how to use the reporting site for each of the hunts.  When a hunt is announced, go to the reporting site.  Look around and get familiar as to where and how you enter your finds.  You can log in to the site using your name and email address.  Also, when you log in to the reporting site, you will see what it is that you will be hunting for.

Next, you must have access to all of the Paradise Freebies sites!  You have to be logged on to each of the sites in order to be able to hunt for items on them.  This means you will need to have to be signed up on all of the Paradise Freebies sites, or you will only be able to search the ones that you have extended your account to.  Though you do NOT have to be “green” on any of the sites to participate in a hunt, you will need accounts on each of the sites that you want to be able to hunt on. You will need to be signed up and logged on for the hunt

Then, just before the hunt starts, you will want to go around to each of the Paradise Freebies network sites, and log in.  Take a minute on each site to browse around and load all of the site images into your browser.  This will speed things up immensely when you are bouncing around from site to site during the hunt, since you will already have the different sites graphics loaded into your browser cache.  Also, Make sure you check on the “Remember Me” box when you log on to each of the sites so that each one will keep you logged on through the entire hunt.

All hunts are in Eastern Standard time.  So if you are in California, (PST), you will start the hunt at the same time, but 3 hours earlier in your time zone. Most hunts start at 10:00 PM EST.  That would be 7:00 PM PST, and all times in between.  The time is always based on your computer’s time, as long as your computer is set to update it’s time automatically.  The hunts are “turned on” always right at the last second prior to the hour. (sharp) So be on time!

Each of the hidden items can only be found ONCE.  The reporting site will tell you if an item has already been found.  If it does tell you that an item has already been found, hurry back, and find something else!

The items will be hidden anywhere and everywhere on all of the 14 Paradise Freebies network sites!  For a full list of the Paradise Freebies Sites, CLICK HERE. Search every nook and cranny! They can literally be anywhere on the sites!  Remember, you MUST be logged in to the sites to find them! The hunt will not stop until the last item is found.  As items are found, they are listed for all to see on the reporting site.

There is a “comment” system on the reporting site.  You are welcome to insert your comments before, during, and after the hunt! Just please, keep it CLEAN!  This is for FUN!  So… HAVE FUN!  But not at the expense of others…

And Finally…. After the hunt, you will want to contact support, and provide your paypal information, or your address if a physical prize is being shipped for that hunt.  Just send your information to support@paradisefreebies.com
